You’ve probably heard this phrase before, there simply aren’t enough hours in the day. So how do you maximize every hour? business and life coach Eosin, a Borsa who specializes in productivity practices, joins us for this Sunday check in morning today and something about mornings. Productivity. Some people say they’re more productive in the morning, let’s just talk about productivity in general.

Jasna Burza
Let’s let’s do that is the theme for my year this year. So I feel like I’m, I’m well equipped to talk about it. You know, the time management and being productive in general is always about self management. I’ve spent a decade you know, getting every journal and every half thinking that’s gonna make me more organized. In terms, there are things that I just have to work on on the inside. But having said that, you and I’ve talked about this a few times, there are certain things that we can all do to be more productive with our time.

Susan-Elizabeth Littlefield
Let’s go through that last number one, stop multitasking,

Jasna Burza
can you believe it, we believe I can multitask into doing all of this. It can be when you if you’re doing laundry while you’re putting on makeup or cooking. But very often what we mean by multitasking is doing work, things that are not necessarily making us be present, and then we mess up, we feel like we’re doing everything at the same time. So my suggestion to everyone is prioritize batch projects, what’s today that needs to get done, that you can get out of the way you’re gonna feel like a super human it will if you get it done. And then you will feel like you’re really present with everything that you’re you’re doing.

And you’re saying get up even a little earlier. Always,

Jasna Burza
even if you can do half an hour, Gosh, 15 minutes before you normally do before everyone does. You just gives you that extra star just to even wake up with a cup of coffee, because you really reaffirm the intention for that day of getting up with intention of getting stuff done.

Susan-Elizabeth Littlefield
Okay. And something else is when you have something you’re really dreading, no matter what it is. It’s easy to procrastinate on that, what’s your advice,

Jasna Burza
do it first, just get it out of the way, rip the band aid, just go for it. So if you can get that big monster project out of the way, what you’re left with is this feeling of incredible accomplishment. What is really worse well kills our productivity is the looming deadline over our head, oh my god, that can really wreak havoc on our mental health. So get that out of the way. First and foremost, just try it, you can thank me later,

Susan-Elizabeth Littlefield
I really want to hear you expand on the idea though of planning ahead.

Jasna Burza
So my husband says I love him. He’s the most disciplined person that I know, he says if you fail to plan, you plan to fail. So there’s something that a friend of mine told me years ago, called reverse alarm. So you set up an alarm, for example, I go to bed at eight at 6:30pm, my alarm goes off, it means all of my screens are off. And then I get ready for the evening and for the next day. So planning is incredibly important if you feel overwhelmed, because then you feel again in charge. And we’ve raised the self esteem and confidence. And we can get way more done. If you just take an extra hour to plan out whatever we need to do.

And one of the biggest distractions ever social media.

Jasna Burza
Oh my goodness, guilty as charged everyone is. So if you have something that you’re working on, and you want to fill in January, still on those resolutions, do yourself a favor and try two days without social media. Stretch it a little bit, go for an entire week, you will get more done than you could possibly imagine. You feel like you’re flying and you’re winning life.

Susan-Elizabeth Littlefield
And I like having that idea of a certain time of the day when Hey, I’m done. It’s out.

Jasna Burza
It’s actually very powerful. And I think with the advent of the social media or the phones always being right in right in front of us. It is it has become very very muddled for almost everyone I know couples of bringing their phones into their bedroom. So just again, just like with everything that we share here, try it for given three days. If you want to stretch it, give it a week, and you can thank us later.

Susan-Elizabeth Littlefield
Wonderful. Thank you so much. We appreciate you as always and we’ve got lots more to talk about. Thank you
